Thesis Title: Labour of love: cultural production and the management of diversity in the UK comics

industry

Thesis Description:

This project explores the relationship between workforce diversity, creative practice and textual representation in the creative industries through an investigation into the under-examined UK comics sector. This thesis takes a media industries perspective to investigate how the industry manages diversity, and what representation of diversity or diversity of representation looks like in UK comics.
