Thesis Title: The Privatisation of Violence and the Sovereign Power of Life: An Investigation Into Private Military and Security Contractors on Sovereignty and the Protection of Fundamental Rights in a Globalised World 


Thesis Description:

An examination of the privatisation and externalisation of legitimate violence within a globalised world. Considering how violence coincides with power as the center piece to sovereignty and as a result consider how this effects democratic accountability and the social contract, in particular the state-centric human rights obligations.
