Thesis Description:
Through multiple modes of immersive dissemination (performance, installations and workshops) this portfolio delves into reaching new audiences with acousmatic composition (stereo to eight channel formats), some of which are collaborative and mixed media works. Through site-specific works, collaborations with different arts organisations and community groups across Birmingham, UK and beyond, this portfolio primarily explores: audience development techniques, to develop existing and potential audiences; audience engagement; collaboration; inclusivity and participation to encourage active listening and to reach out as a composer to new audiences.
