The AHRC are holding a Research Community Engagement event, to follow this year’s Leadership Fellows Conference on 6th November. Researchers from across the Arts and Humanities Research Council subject remit, who do not currently hold, or have not previously held, a Leadership Fellows award, are invited to attend this one-day event in London on Tuesday 7th November.
The aims of this event will be:
• to inform delegates about the scheme;
• to provide guidance and support from the perspective of AHRC staff, members of the peer review college, and current and former award holders about what makes a successful application, and;
• To encourage prospective applicants to develop ideas about their own research leadership activities and impact.
Members of AHRC staff will be available throughout the day to speak with delegates individually about their specific queries. There will be case-study presentations from current and former award-holders, and a panel discussion entitled 'What Makes a Successful Proposal?' There will be opportunities throughout the day to network with other potential applicants, to discuss interdisciplinary perspectives on leadership, and to find out about further AHRC funding opportunities.
If you have colleagues who may be interested in making an application to the Leadership Fellows scheme, and who may benefit from further information and support, we encourage you to circulate this invitation.
We would also encourage PhD students who are in their final or writing up year and who are looking for information about the next step in their academic career.
Registration is free, through this Eventbrite portal:
